Gainesville, Fla. – The Alachua County Library District will be closed for Veterans Day on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020. Book drops and online services at www.aclib.us will be available. All branches will resume current services, including limited browsing hours, outside service, and computer appointments, at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 2020. Gainesville, Fla. – The Alachua County Library District celebrates National Friends of Libraries Week Oct. 18-20 by thanking our Friends of the Library for their many contributions to our public library system. 

Gainesville, Fla. – The Alachua County Library District will offer browsing hours six days a week at five branches and update operating hours across all 12 locations starting Monday, Sept. 28. Patrons are required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing while in buildings and complete a brief health screening, including a touchless temperature check, before entering.Starting Monday, patrons can browse as follows:

Gainesville, Fla. – The Alachua County Library District and Library Specialist Ann Le Zotte received accolades on Friday, Sept. 11 from the Northeast Florida Library Information Network (NEFLIN). Le Zotte received NEFLIN’s Member of the Year Award for providing inclusive programs to underserved children and teens, particularly patrons with disabilities and the LGBTQ community.
