Tax season is here and the library and our partner organizations are here to help you file your 2023 taxes. Taxpayers can begin filing 2023 tax returns in early 2024.
The deadline to file your 2023 Tax Return is April 15, 2024.

Tax Assistance at the Library
AARP Tax-Aide Alachua County is providing free tax preparation services starting on Jan. 29, 2024. Tax aide will be available through April 15, 2024. IRS-Certified volunteers provide free income tax preparation for people with low and moderate income.

- United Way VITA - Appointments Recommended
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers FREE tax help to taxpayers who need assistance. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified taxpayers.
Contact 211 for an appointment to have an IRS-certified volunteer prepare and file your taxes at one of our VITA sites. Simply dial 2-1-1 or (352) 332-4636 to make an appointment.
