Gainesville, Fla. — Following an evaluation of cost and patron engagement the Alachua County Library District has discontinued its subscription to Tutor.com.

Patrons can still use their library card to access our robust collection of databases. These digital options offer various non-fiction and reference materials.

  • The Florida Electronic Library is for all ages and has homework help and teacher resources, with sources that include electronic magazines, newspapers, and almanacs.
  • Gale in Context: Biography is the place to find biographical information on the world's most influential people.
  • MasterFILE Premier is where you can search magazines and journals, or find reference materials on a variety of subjects like business, health, education, science, and more.
  • World Book is an online reference source containing every article from the 22-volume print encyclopedia, plus thousands more.
  • Issues & Controversies covers current and historical social, political, and global issues with balanced perspectives and factual information.

If you need to prepare for standardized tests, career entrance exams, or other common assessments, check out Learning Express Library. There is also homework help and career resource help available through Learning Express.
