What: Alachua County Remembrance Project: Quilt Unveiling  
When: Friday, June 21, 2024, 11 a.m. 
Where: Waldo Branch of the Alachua County Library District, 15150 NE US Highway 301, Waldo, FL 32694.

The Alachua County Community Remembrance Project will unveil a quilt to honor five lynching victims in Alachua County. The ACCRP will hold a reception on Friday, June 21, at 11 a.m. at the Waldo Branch of the Alachua County Library District. The quilt will be shown to the public for the first time. This quilt honors five lynching victims from the Waldo, Hawthorne, Rochelle, and Campville areas of North Central Florida. Local representatives and members of the ACCRP will deliver comments during the reception. Light refreshments will follow.
