Well, no, they are not the same. The scientists at NASA's Climate Kids website tell us the difference:
"Weather is a specific event—like a rainstorm or hot day—that happens over a few hours, days or weeks. Climate is the average weather conditions in a place over 30 years or more. NASA has observed that Earth's climate is getting warmer."
One easy way to remember the difference is to recall that author Mark Twain once said, "Climate is what we expect, weather is what we get."
Here is another famous quote about the weather: "Everybody talks about the weather, but nobody does anything about it."

Poems and Songs
Rain, rain, go away, come again another day,
Little (Child's name) wants to play. Rain, rain, go away.
Thunder crashes. Lightning flashes.
Rain makes puddles, I make splashes.
Pitter-patter, raindrops, falling from the sky;
Here is my umbrella to keep me safe and dry!
When the rain is over, and the sun begins to glow,
Little flowers start to bud, and grow and grow and grow!
