Curbside service will be transitioned to walk-up service at the Millhopper and Tower Road branches Monday, Aug. 3 through Friday, Aug. 21 to accommodate early voting at both locations. Regular curbside services will resume on Saturday, Aug. 22.
Traffic and parking congestion may occur at these two locations during early voting. Patrons can transfer their holds to a different library branch by calling their branch. Please follow the signs posted at each location to park for voting or library services.
Both branches will still offer walk-up services, including holds pickup, library card renewal, library card sign-up, and computer and copier appointments. Each branch will have their own procedures for walkup services as follows:
Drive around the parking lot and park in the lot closest to 43rd Street, on the West side of the library. Proceed to the Walk-up Door (see map to right). Have your library card, picture identification, or email notice ready and we will get your materials for you. Follow the signs at the walk-up door for holds pickup and card services to the right and computer/copier appointments to the left. Please wear a mask when interacting with staff and practice social distancing while in line.
On your way, call us at 352-333-2840. When you drive in, take the first left into our East side parking lot and park (see map to right). Come up to the table and have your library card, picture identification or email notice ready and we will get your materials for you. Follow the signs at the walk-up door for holds pickup and card services to the right and computer/copier appointments to the left. Please wear a mask when interacting with staff and practice social distancing while in line.
