Visiting Friends in Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Stuck at home during quarantine? Want to get the best deals on turnips? The library is here for you with ways you can socialize during the quarantine using everyone's favorite game, Animal Crossing: New Horizons. One of the coolest features of the game is where you can visit other islands! This can help anyone who feels isolated and allows you to meet new people or hang out with old friends.

There are two ways to visit an island: be friends or get a Dodo code. The Dodo code is the best way to temporarily visit an island for a party, or to go to a strangers island, but after a while you can ask to be friends and add the to your Friends List.

To get started, make sure you have a Switch Online account if your friends are far away.

Next, you will need to go to your airport on your island and ask Orville to visit people.

He will ask you if you want to visit someone local or use online play. If your friend is in your house, stay local!

If they're in quarantine at their own house, choose online play.

If you are visiting someone new, they will give you a Dodo Code that you can give to Orville.

Meet your friend

You can explore their island with them, find new things to craft, meet new villagers, and get supplies that are not on your own island.

You can also take photos with them and explore their museum!

Once you visit an island, always try a note on their bulletin board. Everyone loves a good letter, and now you can join in!

Stuck in the house during your birthday? Throw a party on your island! You can invite people by sharing a Dodo Code and crafting a party set up.

Please enjoy this tutorial, and look forward to more Animal Crossing: New Horizons programming in the future.
