Join the Alachua County Library District and our community partners to celebrate the start of Summer at the Library. We will be holding our annual kick off to summer, called Reader Palooza, on Saturday, June 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tower Road Branch! Join us for a fun morning with more than 30 community organizations and share great information and activities for kids.

This year Reader Palooza will be held at the Tower Road Branch. We will have games, music, and entertainment for all ages. During the event you can sign up for Summer Reading and get a free summer tote bag and SWAG. Visit with the community organizations and learn more about what they have to offer.

Be sure to register early for Summer Reading. Pre-registration begins on Tuesday, June 3 through Beanstack,. Patrons can track their reading minutes from June 7 to Aug. 10 and earn digital badges for completing reading challenges. Each badge is a chance to win weekly prizes from Flip Factory Zone or one of three grand prize tablets from PDQ Restaurant

Throughout the day you can check out activities from our community partners - including S, music from DJ Cameron, and Bubble Man.

This year the theme of Summer at the Library is "Explore Florida." We can't wait for you to explore all the fun things your local libraries have to offer this summer.

Thank you to our Summer at the Library sponsors, PDQ Restaurant, COX Media, Flip Factory Zone, MARC Radio Group, and the Friends of the Library.
