[Who is Lil' Nas X?]
Montero Lamar Hill, better known as Lil' Nas X, was born April 1999 in Lithia Springs, Georgia. His first hit single, Old Town Road, gained popularity in early 2019 before climbing charts internationally. It became diamond certified by November that same year. Lil' Nas X was the most-nominated male artist at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards in 2020, winning him a 'Best Of' award in several categories. He is also the first openly LGBTQ Black artist to win a Country Music Association award.
Time named him one of the 25 most influential people on the internet in 2019, and he was on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2020.
Lil' Nas X released a children's book, C is for Country, in January 2021. His most recent hit single, Montero (Call Me By Your Name) was released in March 2021, to strong reactions.
