The Alachua County Library District is proud to announce the first Library for Me program for children and adults on the autism spectrum on Sunday, April 24 at 1:30 p.m. at Cone Park Branch, 2801 E. University Ave., Gainesville, FL 32641.
Children and adults on the autism spectrum and their caregivers and families are invited to a special open house where they can enjoy the library at their own pace in a peaceful and less crowded environment. This is a sensory-friendly event for members of the autism spectrum community.
There will be a variety of activities for all ages and designated quiet areas will be available to allow patrons to relax.
Welcome packets will be provided upon arrival that will include information on the event and general library resources for autistic patrons and their loved ones.

Want to familiarize yourself with the Cone Park Branch layout before your visit? We've included a floor plan below that marks the important areas of the library.
During the event, we will have stations in the following areas:
- Snuggle Up Center: Sensory Story Time
- Quiet Reading Room: Crafts and resources provided by UF Center for Autism and Related Disabilities; coloring pages
- Study Room: Quiet area
