The Car Care Council supports National Car Care Month in April and Fall Car Care Month in October. Both of these months are used as a reminder to perform regular preventative maintenance on your vehicle to ensure it continues running smoothly year-round. Each October, car owners are encouraged to check their brakes, tires, and heat to prepare for the Winter months. Hurricane Season doesn't end until November 30th, so this is also a good time to make sure your windshield wipers are ready for the rain.

The library has automotive repair manuals available through our Catalog for checkout with your library card. Search for the make and model of your vehicle to see if a manual is available. The Headquarters Library houses the Automobile Reference collection, which contains print copies of auto repair manuals for various domestic and imported models of cars, trucks, and SUVs. Reference materials are only available for in-library use, but can be scanned to email at no-charge or copies can be made for a fee.
