While we're holding down the fort and doing our best to keep library services available for your use, we miss seeing you and wanted to reach out with a big hello! Since we haven't seen many of you in a while, we thought we'd reintroduce ourselves and share a bit about us through our pets:
Cheryle:
Dream is Cherlye's Grandpuppy and a dream companion for her Grandkids. Cheryle notes that "this innocent face constantly unties my shoestrings!"
Cody:
Bandit, Ranger, and Rory (and his snek) are three bullheaded bundles of fluff that have a poor grasp on their actual size and strength. Two Rottweilers and one Yorkie in mind, but two Shelties and one Aussie in body, they are beloved by both family and friends.
Courtney:
Arlo, the dashing black lab, was rescued by Courtney’s fiancé about three years ago. Bella, the beautiful grey Siamese/Himalayan mix, has been with Courtney since she was a kitten, about 11 years. When they first moved in together, Arlo and Bella were unsure of each other as Bella could frequently be seen sprinting from the room whenever he entered. However, over the past year, the two have developed a sort of unlikely friendship in which Bella cleans Arlo’s ears and Arlo does nothing about it. These fur kids keep Courtney and TJ busy with walks and very entertained by their antics.
Guylene:
Lenny is one of Guylene's current rescues and her first canine rescue that is not a Corgi. Due to his long legs and love of dancing/prancing his theme songs are "[He's] got legs and [he] knows how to use them" and "Footloose." Mom turned her back and he snuck right into the suitcase...
Salem is Guylene's felline rescue and she will be 17 in Dec. or Jan. Her theme song is "I just want to be loved by YOU and nobody else but YOU." She loves sleeping in the sink and laptime with mom or dad, no other people, please.
Keith:
Clyde is a rescue cat somehow blessed with movie-star good looks. He is a bit of a teddy bear, always up for some snuggling and gentle as can be. His sister cat does not like him, but even when hissed at he just flashes his trademark smile and carries on.
Meredith:
Meredith's Harriet is skeptical of the camera as of most things.
Sylvia:
We lost our beloved pup, Max, this past September. His loss to our lives is incalculable, but we are comforted by the love we had for him and him for us. Here are two pictures from his younger days. On the left, he is greeting one of his many animal friends, my mother-in-law’s horse, Lacey. The one on the right shows him as the perfect travel companion, ready for the next adventure. Wherever you are, Max, we will join you by and by.
