March is National Crafting Month, and so it's a great time to awaken the love of crafting in children. No matter the skill level or preferred type of craft, the library is bound to have something for kids to enjoy.

Creativebug is the perfect place to start when considering a new craft to try. Access to this database is free with a library card. Creativebug has something for every skill level and attention span!

The library offers a variety of crafting programs for different age groups across our district. For a full list of programs and events at the library, please view our Events Calendar.

Our children programmers work hard in March (and all months) to bring crafty experiences to our younger patrons.  Here is a selection below.

Libby has thousands of books and audiobooks available for checkout—including an entire craft collection. If you're looking for something in specific, try searching for a term, such as "knitting" or "cross stitch."

Libby/OverDrive also have access to many different magazines. Try looking through the Home & Garden category for DIY ideas or the Cooking & Food category for tasty recipes to try.

And, last but not least, don't forgot to visit your local branch to check out their collection! Every Alachua County Library District location has a diverse collection of crafting titles, including books and DVDs. Not sure your branch has what you're looking for? Search the catalog to place titles on hold for pick-up at your preferred location.
