October has finally arrived and you know what that means, it is now Spooky Season. What better way to add a little thrill and horror to your life than with a movie marathon. Smile 2 releases in theaters on October 18, so why not watch Smile (2022) before heading to the theater? If you're looking for a bit less horror and a child-friendly spooky movie, head on over to the Waldo Branch on Saturday, October 26 at 12:00 p.m. for Spooky Movie Matinee: Scooby Doo on Zombie Island. Scooby and the gang reunite in search of mysteries and adventure, when they chance upon a remote island inhabited by an undead pirate and his zombie crew.

After a group of would-be criminals kidnap the 12-year-old ballerina daughter of a powerful underworld figure, all they have to do to collect a $50 million ransom is watch the girl overnight. In an isolated mansion, the captors start to dwindle, one by one, and they discover, to their mounting horror, that they're locked inside with no normal little girl.
The Watchers (2024)
The forest isn't charted on any map. Every car breaks down at its tree line. Mina's is no different. Left stranded, she is forced into the dark woodland only to find a woman shouting, urging Mina to run to a concrete bunker. As the door slams behind her, the building is besieged by screams. Mina finds herself in a room with a wall of glass, and an electric light that activates at nightfall, when the Watchers come above ground. These creatures emerge to observe their captive humans and terrible things happen to anyone who doesn't reach the bunker in time. Afraid and trapped among strangers, Mina is desperate for answers.
A Quiet Place: Day One (2024)
When New York City comes under attack from an alien invasion, a woman and other survivors try to find a way to safety. They soon learn that they must remain absolutely silent as the mysterious creatures are drawn to the slightest sound.

Imaginary (2024)

As Jessica's memories begin to surface, aided by cryptic stories from an elderly neighbor about a portal to the spirit world, she realizes the imaginary friend she left behind is very real, and very unhappy she left.

Ray Waller, a former major league baseball player is forced into early retirement by a degenerative illness, he moves into a new home with his concerned wife Eve, teenage daughter Izzy, and young son Elliot. Secretly hoping, against the odds, to return to pro ball, Ray persuades Eve that the new home's shimmering backyard swimming pool will be fun for the kids and provide physical therapy for him. But a dark secret in the home's past will unleash an evil force that will drag the family into the depths of inescapable terror.

After their car breaks down in an eerie small town, a young couple is forced to spend the night in a remote cabin. Panic ensues as they are terrorized by three masked strangers who strike with no mercy and seemingly no motive.
