Barbie was introduced to the world on March 9th, 1959, and nothing was ever the same. Fashionable, forthright, and fair-haired, Barbara "Barbie" Millicent Roberts was a hit and remains one of the most iconic toys around the globe. Barbie has grown up with children everywhere, allowing them to play and imagine what Barbie will do next. Whether she's an astronaut, the president, or a mermaid, Barbie can do everything and be anything.

To celebrate the icon that is Barbie, we've assembled a list of books and movies good for all ages of Barbie fans. Dress yourself in something pink and let's get going!

All the Barbie Movies...Ever!

Barbie has released a staggering 42 animated films, intended for younger audiences. In these, Barbie re-enacts classic stories, goes on fantastic adventures, and more. Any Barbie fan has more than enough all-ages fun waiting for them.

 

In more recent years, Barbie has also gained a co-star--Barbie! In Barbie: Big City, Big Dreams, blonde-haired Barbie "Malibu" Roberts meets Barbie "Brooklyn" Roberts, an aspiring star with the same name. After some rocky beginnings, the two have gone on to star in many projects together. "Brooklyn" is now a fan-favorite, providing representation for children who grow up with African-American Barbie dolls.
