Energy efficiency is the use of less energy to perform a task or produce a result, and is essential in the fight against climate change. In addition to using less energy, efforts to become more energy efficient also save money in utility costs and improve communities by addressing energy equity. Energy equity would allow the economic, health, and social benefits of participating in energy efficiency to extend to all levels of society, regardless of ability, race, or socioeconomic status.
