Early Voting for the 2024 General Election will be held daily at the Millhopper and Tower Road branches from Monday, Oct. 21 - Sunday, Nov. 3, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Vote-by-Mail ballots can be dropped in a secure Drop Box at Early Voting sites, but only during Early Voting hours. Library staff can not accept vote-by-mail ballots. Other Early Voting sites are:
- Supervisor of Elections Office: 515 N. Main St., Gainesville
- J. Wayne Reitz Union: 655 Reitz Union Dr., UF Campus, Gainesville
- Alachua County Agriculture and Equestrian Center: 23100 W. Newberry Road, Newberry
- Legacy Park Multipurpose Center: 15400 Peggy Road, Alachua
- Hawthorne Community Center: 6700 SE 221 St., Hawthorne
- Santa Fe College, S-029: 3000 NW 83 St, Gainesville
On Election Day, Tuesday, November 5, all voters must vote in the polling place to which they are assigned. Persons assigned to Precincts #24 and #61 can vote at the Millhopper Branch, those assigned to Precinct #42 can vote at the Tower Road Branch, and persons assigned to Precinct #12 can vote at the Library Partnership Branch from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Use the Precinct Finder to find your polling place. Vote-by-mail ballots can be returned to Secure Ballot Intake Stations (Drop Boxes) at early voting sites, but are only available during Early Voting hours, Monday, Oct. 21 - Sunday, Nov. 3, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Library staff cannot accept vote-by-mail ballots. Drop Boxes will be provided and monitored by election personnel at all times. Vote-by-mail ballots can be returned in person inside the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections Office on the 3rd floor during normal business hours. Vote-by-mail ballots can be mailed to the Supervisor of Elections but must be received by 7 p.m. on Election Day.
Deadlines
The deadline to register to vote in the General Election is Monday, Oct. 7. The deadline to request a Vote-by-Mail Ballot is Thursday, Oct. 24 at 5 p.m.
