[What is the PCCNCF? Or: Pride Community Center of North Central Florida.]
Serving Gainesville and 13 surrounding counties, the mission of Pride Community Center of North Central Florida (PCCNCF) is to offer safe spaces, resources, services and events to foster and enhance the well-being and visibility of LGBTQ+ people in North Central Florida.
In 2019, the PCCNCF worked to raise funds to pay for three rainbow crosswalks to be installed in downtown Gainesville through the city’s “Art in Crosswalks” program, just in time for National Coming Out Day in October.

You can visit these crosswalks at NE First Street by City Hall, Bo Diddley Plaza, or by the Hippodrome Theatre.
Visit the PCCNCF website for more information about their history, services, special events, and steps to join their newsletter. They also offer free HIV testing every third Thursday of the month from 5pm to 7pm.
And don't miss Library Partnership Branch's "Patrons & Partnerships Podcast" episode featuring the President of PCCNCF, Tamára Perry-Lunardo. You can listen to the podcast here.
