If you’re reading this blog post, there’s a pretty good chance you’re one of the 62% of Americans who owns a pet. If you are, there’s an even better chance you’re one of the 97% of pet owners who consider their pet a member of the family. (I can only assume the 3% who answered ‘no’ to that question mistyped while petting their dogs.)
National Love Your Pet Day is a yearly excuse to pamper and praise your favorite four-legged family member. Animal Behaviorist Colleen Paige started this holiday in 2006. If you think your tabby’s the cat’s meow, or your beagle really is a good boy, National Love Your Pet Day, on Feb. 20, is a chance to show your pet that you care.
