Dungeons and Dragons is a game of imagination, but we all know maps can be helpful, especially when it comes to keeping track of player positions during a fast-paced battle or visualizing a dark and twisting series of underground passages. (Besides, they give everyone a reason to bust out the hand-painted miniatures.)
Battle boards can be expensive, though, and the cost adds up if you need a stack of them to swap out when your players' party moves from the deep forest to the bustling marketplace to spend their hard-earned gold.
This guide will help you put together as many boards as you need in minutes using two inexpensive materials: cardstock and adhesive book cover. Modular, portable, and and reusable, you can customize these boards to suit your party's needs, from a simple grid to highly detailed, pre-drawn maps of frequently visited areas.
